PhD Conference

The PhD Conference (le congrès des doctorants) is held every year towards the end of March. It lasts one week and allows 1st-, 2nd– and 3rd-year PhD students to present their research to other PhD students, as well as to members of the research staff.

Since its beginnings in 1993, the conference has brought together the PhD students from both ENS and IPGP. However, for its 26th edition in 2019, the two Doctoral School departments joined forces for the first time.

The conference is organised in thematic sessions with oral and poster presentations, like a traditional scientific conference. A particular feature of the conference is that it is organised by 1st-year PhD students.
