Advanced Mass Spectrometric Analysis

This formation aims at improving the notions on diverse mass spectrometers (ICP-MS, IRMS, SIMS, TIMS). Several aspects from the sample introduction to the detection and the data analysis will be covered by specialists in every technique from IPGP. Students can thus improve their understanding of their field as well as learning from others.

Jean-Louis BIRCK and Tu-Han LUU (March 13, 2pm-5pm) : Ion transmission and focusing in magnetic and electric fields

Guillaume AVICE (March 14, 2pm-4pm) : Noble gas mass spectrometry: from extraction to measurement

Mickaël THARAUD (March 16, 10am-12pm): Specificities of high-resolution and Time-of-Flight ICP

Pierre CARTIGNY (March 20, 2pm-4pm): Gas source spectrometer

Julien BOUCHEZ (March 21, 2pm-4pm): Data analysis, Statistics, Error propagation
